Hard Reset Guide.
- Make sure your phone is fully charged, or at least has 50% of battery capacity.
- Hard reset will delete everything on your phone, so if you do not have time to back up it will be lost.
- Power off your LG V30.
- Once it completely powers off, you must turn it on again by press and hold the following button at the same time.
- Power Button and Volume down button.
- Release the power button only when the LG logo comes up, and then immediately press the power button again.
- Now, release all button if your LG V30 enter factory data reset screen.
- At this screen, you can use volume down to highlight the menu, and use the power button to confirm
- You will be asked to erase all user data & restore default settings? if you are sure you can highlight Yes using the volume down button.

- To use this method make sure your LG V30 is active, and not locked by any security screen protection.
- Now open Settings.
- If necessary, switch to Tab view.
- Then go to the General
- Then tap Backup & reset
- Under Phone management Tick or clear the checkboxes associated with Back up my data and Automatic restore.
- Now, tap Backup account and select the desired backup account
- When everything ready, you can tap Factory data reset
- Then, choose whether you want to Erase SD Card as well
- Now, tap Reset phone
- If the LG V30 is protected by a lock screen, you must enter your password/PIN to proceed
- Then, tap Delete all and Reset to confirm
- Your LG V30 will automatically reboot to proceed with the hard reset.
