How to Fully Disable Windows Sound Audio to Prevent Student Hearing Any Sound.
Disable Windows Sound Audio. Every operating system that runs on every device, whether mobile or desktop definitely has a feature to play audio sound. the audio feature will play all music and video files. So it will also play all audio sourced from other websites or applications. On the Windows operating system, the audio system is controlled by service. Windows audio by default is active when the Windows operating system is installed. This happens if the audio or sound driver is installed and is compatible with the operating system that is running. Audio systems that are managed by service windows will be processed by the speaker.
For some reason an admin or teacher in a computer laboratory wants audio to be turned off without uninstalling the Audio driver. So that it does not interfere with the learning process. Once the audio turned off all students will not be able to play audio or video files on their computers. They can still play videos, but the audio will be deactivated. If audio is no longer processed by windows, it is expected that students will be more orderly to take lessons without being disturbed by other friends who play music.

First Method. Disable / Enable PC Audio Via BIOS.
Not all laptops or PCs support the disable and enable audio method through the BIOS. but for certain BIOS models can use this method. Here is the step.
- Turn on your PC or laptop and access your BIOS settings, you can hit DEL/F1/F2/or certain button. the access key to the BIOS may vary depending on the motherboard manufacturer.
- Once your PCs enter BIOS, you can Go to the “Advanced” BIOS section.
- Then Go to the “Onboard” or “Device Configuration” option by hitting Enter.
- The audio or sound settings are typically under “Audio Controller” or any other similar sound-related configuration.
- Now, press Enter to enable or disable the sound setting on your PC
- Finally, Press F10 to save and exit the new settings from BIOS.
Second Method. Uninstalling Windows Audio Driver

In this third method, we will use services that run on Windows to permanently turn off the audio sound. this is the steps.- The guide I made can work on all versions of Windows. because I use the command prompt to open the program window.
- Open the Run Windows dialog box by pressing and holding the Windows button, then press the R key (RUN).
- Then type devmgmt.msc.
- This command will open Device Manager program window.
- There, you will see a list of hardware installed on the PC.
- Scroll down the window and find Sound, Audio and game controllers
- Double click on it, to see details of installed devices.
- Now right-click on the name of the Audio device that is already installed, and click Uninstall.

Third Method. Disabling Audio Via Service.
Stop Audio Service
- This method can work on Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7 and all versions of Windows.
- So we use the run command to call the service window.
- Use the Windows button + R to launch Run command.
- In the run dialogue box types the following command and click OK.
- services.msc
- Then you will open the service windows
- At the right side of the Windows, You will see what services are running on your Windows PC.
- Just scroll down and find Windows Audio.
- Then, double click on it to open Windows Audio Properties (Local Computer)
- You need to click Stop button under Service Status, and the Windows will attempt the service to stop running.
- Click OK to close the Audio properties.
- Then, double click Windows Audio Endpoint builder to open it Windows Properties
- Do the same thing as step 9 above.
- Restart your PC
Hide Speaker Icon on Taskbar.
The next step you have to remove the speaker icon from the taskbar, If this icon still exists, then the student or child can still reactivate with the help of fix the trouble shot by Windows. when the service is deactivated the speaker icon will have a red cross. If you click the icon, Windows will be detecting problems and will reactivate the audio service that has been stopped before.
