How to Flash / Install Firmware Samsung GALAXY S7 Using ODIN v3.11.1..

Flash Stock Firmware Samsung Galaxy S7. If you want to upgrade your Samsung Galaxy S7 firmware, we recommend using Samsung’s own utilities OTA (Over-the-air) or Samsung Kies. follow this guide only if you understand about risks involved in flashing your Samsung Galaxy S7 device. On this guide, we flash a Samsung device using ODIN v3.11.1.

This device is released in 2016, March. Samsung Galaxy S7 is the smartphone with 5,1 Inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, work on Android OS, v6.0 (Marshmallow), Supported with Quad-core (2x2.15 GHz Kryo & 2x1.6 GHz Kryo) CPU, Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset, Adreno 530 GPU, combined with 4000 MB of RAM and 12 MP of  Main camera and 5 MP on secondary camera. 

Preparation.

Below are the following things you must do before flashing your Android Samsung Smartphone device.

1. Make sure your Samsung Galaxy S7 is fully charged. or minimum has 88 % of battery capacity. It will avoid the flashing process failure.
2. Flashing process will delete or wipe all data stored in internal memory. So, don't forget to backup all data before flashing device.
3. Make sure you have installed a latest of the Samsung driver, that support with your device If you don't have, you can download here 
4. Original USB cable driver for your Samsung Galaxy S7.
5. Download Odin V3.11.1, Here 
6. Download Official firmware file for the model number of your device, download it from - SamMobile, or you can visit samsung-updates.com/

Guide To Flash Samsung GALAXY S7 

1. You must download all necessary file. (Samsung USB driver and Odin)
2. Then, install all driver to your computer or PC.
3. Extract Odin V3.11.1. file in the destination folder.
4. Switch Off your Samsung Galaxy S7 to start flashing process.
5. Then, run Odin3 v3.11.1 by right click on Odin.exe and select Run as Administrator.

6. When the program is running, now you can click AP, and navigate to the *.tar or *.tar.md5 firmware file. 
7. Now your firmware file has been inserted in Odin3  
8. Then, Enter download mode your Samsung Galaxy S7. See this guide how to do it.
9. On this mode, now connect your Samsung Galaxy S7 to your PC / laptop using a USB cable. 
10. After your phone connected, you will see a message appear that show your device added and there is info on the ID: COM at top left corner. Keep in mind for this COM vary depending on the PC / Laptop. Just Ignore all, in this picture you will see that your device is detected on (COM 5)

11. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
12. When everything already you can click Start Button. at the bottom left corner
13. Just wait for the process to run about 2-5 minutes, and make sure there is no interference in this process. 
14. When complete it will display a notification PASS and your smartphone Samsung Galaxy S7 will automatically restart.
15. Wait for your device to boot up, it will take a while.
