3 easy ways to transfer, backup, and restore data. Backup and restore data is needed when we will take action on the cellphone. For example, we will perform a hard reset or master reset. So that the data stored on the cellphone includes Apps, contacts, call history, device settings not lost. Other than that, to avoid losing all data when the cellphone is lost we must routinely backup data. Here will be shown several ways and methods that you might be able to transfer, backup and restore data on your Android device. so, later you can choose which method is the easiest to follow. 

This data backup and restore method can be applied to almost all types and brands of Android phones. e.g Samsung, LG, Sony Xperia, Motorola, Lenovo, etc.

1. Backup Via Google Drive.

Back up data with Google Drive. This method allows you to backup apps, settings and call history. Just follow this step to start it.

     For Samsung Phone.

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Select Cloud and accounts.
  3. Select Backup and Restore.
  4. Tap Google Account.
  5. Tap to enable Back up to Google Drive

      For LG Phone.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom and select Backup & Reset.
  3. Then, tap Back up my data to enable it.
  4. Make sure you have successfully added a Google account at a backup account.

     For Sony Xperia Phone.

  1. Select Settings.
  2. Then tap Backup & Reset.
  3. Now, tap Backup my data to enable it.
  4. Make sure a Google account has been added in backup account.

Transfer data from Google Drive.

Once you've backed up your data in the Google drive, Now you can log in to Google account on your new device with the same account. Then Select “Backup & Restore” to restore your data. So, you can recover data on old phones without losing it.

2. Backup Via PC Transfer.

Another method that you can use to transfer data between old phones to new cellphones is to use a computer.
  1. You need to connect both smartphones to the computer using a USB cable.
  2. On each smartphone screen, you will see a message. Then you can select Use USB connection -  Transfer files.
  3. Now, locate the relevant folder/s for your old smartphone on your PC in Windows Explorer.
  4. Then, Drag and drop the relevant folder from your old smartphone into the corresponding folder on the new phone in Windows Explorer. For example, copy DCIM folder from old phone to the DCIM folder new phone.
  5. after the file transfer process is complete, disconnect the USB cable from all phones to the PC.

3. Backup Data Via SD Card.

The third method for backing up data on a smartphone is to use an SD card. You can put the SD card into your new smartphone and move your data to its internal storage. Check your applications to make sure all of your data has successfully transferred to your new smartphone.

  1. Go to System Settings.
  2. Select Storage.
  3. Select Portable storage - SD Card.
