How to Root and Install Official TWRP Recovery Samsung Galaxy A8 | A8 Plus 2018.
Install Official TWRP Recovery Samsung Galaxy A8/A8+. Without that, you won't be able to install custom ROM, a mod, or even rooting your device. Even though you can do all these things using magisk, but it's very risky without an easy way to make backups. Therefore you need a recovery installed on the Android device. and the recovery that will be used is TWRP.
The guide below will explain how to install TWRP recovery on Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 or also A8 Plus 2018. First Step. Activate the Developer Option.
- Power On the phone.
- Now, go to Settings - About Phone - Software Information.
- From the Software Information main screen, tap build number 7 times. Until you see a message on the screen that says developer mode has been turned On.
- Tap back until Settings.
- Now you can find the developer options menu, then you can tap it
- From the developer options menu, you can allow USB debugging. From the developer options menu, make sure the OEM unlock is enabled.
Second Step. Download ODIN and TWRP Recovery.
- In step one above, please turn off your cell phone.
- Then, download the latest ODIN from the current site.
- Now, you need to download official TWRP that matches your mobile device variant. You can get the latest TWRP recovery from the XDA thread or the official TeamWin’s site.

- Download latest no-verity-opt-encrypt zip. Here

Third Step. Put Phone into Download Mode.
How to bring Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus 2018 into download mode?
- Shutdown the phone with the power button.
- Once it's completely off, Power it On again by press and hold the following button at the same time.
- Power, Volume UP and Volume Down
- Release all button when your phone shows a warning screen.
- To continuing enter download mode press Volume Up. Otherwise, you can press volume down.
Fourth Step. How to Flash and setup completely.
- Make sure your Samsung Galaxy A8 or A8 Plus 2018 isn't RMM Locked.
- Make sure all prerequisite files at a second step above already downloaded.
- We highly recommend to backup everything before performing this task.
- Connect your phone to the PC using the USB cable.
- Then open Odin3,
- Go to the Options section and untick "Auto-reboot".
- Once that click the "AP" button and select the TWRP tar you downloaded before.
- Then press the "Start" button.
- Once Odin3 finished flashing the TWRP recovery, this can be seen by the appearance of "PASS" message on progress status with a green color.
- Now, force reboot your Samsung Galaxy A8 / A8 Plus 2018.
- Press and hold Power and Volume Down buttons together,
- Once the screen and the phone is off, do the following
- press and hold Power and Volume Up buttons together to boot in TWRP.
- Once TWRP is booted you first need to decrypt your /data partition. To do so touch Wipe ->Format Data and follow the instructions in the screen.
- Once it the flashing process is done, you can go back to the home screen and touch
- Reboot -> Recovery. TWRP should be able to mount your data partition.
- Now copy the no-verity-opt-encrypt and RMM Bypass zip you downloaded before and flash them (touch Install and select each zip to flash it)
- You're now able to reboot to your OS without re-encrypting /data partition and without RMM Paranormal lock.
Fifth Step. Root Samsung Galaxy A8 or A8 Plus 2018.
- Download SuperSu from this site
- Then copy a SuperSU.zip file to your phone.
- Reboot your phone into TWRP recovery. (fourth step no 7 above)
- Then flash it to get the root access.
