How to Root and Install TWRP Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) Android 8.0 (Oreo).

• Odin A5 2017
• Magisk-v16.0.zip
• RMM-State_Bypass_Mesa.zip
• SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe
• TWRP
• twrp_3.1.0-1_sm-a720f_12417.tar

Flash TWRP via ODIN.

1. Extract the zip file that you downloaded earlier, 
2. Now, open ODIN as administrator. (right click ODIN V3.12.7.exe then click Run as Administrator). 
3. Once the ODIN window opens, now click the AP button to load the twrp.img

5. Once your Samsung phone on download mode, connect it with the USB cable to the PC.
6. Then, back to ODIN. ODIN windows should show the following image when your device is connected.
7. Under the Log tab: it will show that phone added.

Install Magisk via TWRP.

1. Copy or move Magisk-v16.0.zip and RMM-State_Bypass_Mesa.zip to the phone internal memory.
2. Once the flashing process is done, now turn off your phone. In this case, your cellphone is still in download mode. So, how do you exit the download mode and enter TWRP Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy phone?
• Press and hold the Power Button + Volume Up button at the same time. This action will bring your phone Power off.
• Once your phone goes blank and power off, now press and hold the following button to enter the TWRP recovery menu.
• Volume down + Home button + Power button.

3. Now tap Install button, to install Magisk-v16.0.zip and RMM-State_Bypass_Mesa.zip.
4. Make sure to install RMM -State_Bypass_Mesa.zip first then continue to install magisk.
5. Once everything is installed, please restart your phone.
6. Now, you can check the root status using Root checker apk. and make sure it says congratulations! Root access is properly installed on this device!
