Use KDZZ to Builds ZIPs from KDZ. If you often flash the firmware on an LG mobile device you will know what is called KDZ firmware. KDZ is a firmware format that was launched by LG manufacturer to release its official firmware. With other meanings, that every LG phone stock ROM will be officially launched in a. KDZ. while the .kdz file format is very difficult to flash using TWRP recovery.

The senior member at XDA (weakNPCdotCom) has created a new tool that can automatically build.ZIP files from the KDZ firmware. The KDZZ tool is in alpha and active development stages. Currently, the KDZZ tool only supports two LG mobile devices of the following type: 

• LG V30 on T-Mobile (H932 & H930DS) and,
• LG G6 on T-Mobile (H872)

Unsupported device.

• LG Aristo 3.

KDZZ is open source, therefore you can add in support for unsupported LG devices through the instructions mentioned. The KDZZ tool can create .zip packages for modem, bootloader, full stock, and LAF (LG Advanced Flash).

Prerequisite.

1. Installing the KDZZ tool is very easy, it's as simple as extracting a zip file. So, You don't need to be an expert to use this tool.
2. To builds the flashable ZIPs you need a computer run on Windows OS.
3. You need to download Windows LG Firmware Extract Tool from Here. This tool used to extract system bins from DZ files.
4. You must have a KDZ firmware file at hand. You can see the firmware list below.
• LG V30 Firmware
• LG G6 Firmware - H872BK & H872TN
• Other LG firmware.
5. Download the latest KDZZ from Here

Installation.

1. Extract the contents of the KDZZ zip file to the directory of the computer, we recommend extract it on the desktop.
2. Now, Extract KDZ firmware using Windows LG Firmware Extract.
3. Then, set your working directory.
4. Then, Extract the DZ file from the KDZ firmware.
5. Then, Extract the bins from the extracted DZ file.
6. Now, Merge the extracted System bins
7. Now, Run KDZZ. How to run KDZZ?
• Extract KDZZ file that you have downloaded before.
• Copy to the desired directory (D:\KDZZ_1.0.1.0)
• Open a command prompt (DOS Prompt) on the computer from the current directory.
• Then change directory to KDZZ.exe directory
