- This method generally works on all LG Android phones. but for this guide, I use an LG K30 device.
- Make sure your cellphone is fully charged, to avoid cellphones running out of power during the hard reset process.
- Make sure all data has been backed up before the hard reset starts.
- Remember Google or Gmail accounts that have been synchronized with LG K30, to avoid cellphones being locked by FRP.
- The cellphone must be turned off because this hard reset method uses the cellphone's physical button.
- Now turn on your cellphone by pressing the following key combination to enter Android System Recovery.
- Power Button + Volume Down Button
- Once the button is pressed simultaneously, then the LG K30 will vibrate
- When the LG logo comes up just release the Power Button only for at least 3 seconds, and then press the Power button again.
- Then, the LG K30 will continue to show the LG logo and for a moment the LG logo will disappear.
- Once your phone shows the recovery menu, just release all button from your fingers.
- To navigate through the menu, you can use the volume down or volume Up button to highlight the menu. And use the power button to confirm.
- Now, highlight the Wipe Data/Factory Reset and press Power Button.
- In the next screen, you will be warned whether you will Wipe All User data? just choose Yes. This action will delete all user data including Gmail and password. and can not be undone.
- From this step, the factory reset will start immediately. At the bottom of the screen, you will see the history and hard reset process on the LG K30 phone.
- When the hard reset process is done, you will see a notification at the bottom of the screen that says result: succeed. Now, you can back to the recovery menu and highlight reboot system now.
- Finish, now your password or pattern will be deleted and you can use your phone as usual.
