How to Remote Desktop Computer Using TeamViewer Without Internet Connections.
Using TeamViewer Via LAN (Local Area Connections). This guide below will show you how to set up your computer in order to enable remote desktop. By using remote desktop on your computer it will allow the user to connect the computer in another location, the user can see the computer desktop and interact with another computer. Besides that, the user can access a workplace computer from anywhere, fix a computer problem, install new software, transfer file, and much more. For easy setup, you can use TeamViewer to start the remote desktop. By installing TeamViewer on your computer, you will able to remote another computer, desktop sharing, online meetings, and web conference. Therefore your computer must connect to the Internet.
The question is, how to make a remote desktop using TeamViewer if your computer is not connected to the Internet? The answer is easy, simply connect your computer and another computer via LAN (local area connections). Then do a little setting on a TeamViewer window.
Now let we proceed with this guide.
Set Up A Computer Network.
- Computer 1- Run on Windows Seven Starter.
- Click Start - Control Panel - Network and Internet.
- Under Network and Sharing Center - View Network status and tasks.
- On the new windows click Change adapter settings.
- Now, right click on the Local Area Connections icon - Select properties
- Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/iPv4).
- Then click the Properties button.
- Fill the following IP Address for computer 1.
- Then close this window by click OK.
- Computer 2- Run on Windows Seven.
- Click Start - Control Panel - Network and Internet.
- Under Network and Sharing Center - View Network status and tasks.
- On the new windows click Change adapter settings.
- Now, right click on the Local Area Connections icon - Select properties
- Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/iPv4).
- Then click the Properties button.
- Fill the following IP Address for computer 1.
- IP Address : 192.168.1.2
- Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
- Then close this window by click OK.
- Now, make a connection between computer 1 and computer 2 using LAN cable.
- Once it connected to make sure to ping the connections between both of computer using cmd commands.
- Now downlo4d the latest TeamViewer from the link below.
- Then, install TeamViewer to all computer you want to remote desktop.
- Once TeamViewer successfully installed on our computer,
- From the TeamViewer window ;
- Click Extras
- Options
- General
- Under Network Settings - Select Incoming LAN Connections - Then choose accept.
- Now, click OK to close this window.
- Your TeamViewer window will show your IP Address, with Only LAN connections are possible status at the bottom of the window.
TeamViewer via LAN - On picture shown above, we know that your TeamViewer ID is: 192.168.1.1
- And the TeamViewer password is: 7167
- Use this ID and password to make remote desktop to this computer.
