Now I will explain how to root on HTC Butterfly X920D. HTC Butterfly X920D Android is a smartphone with a 5,0-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen, works on Android OS, v4.1.1 (Jelly Bean), v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), planned upgrade to v4.4.2 (KitKat) system and powered Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait CPU, Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon 600 chipset and Mali GPU-Adreno 320 as their engine, and combined with 2 GB RAM, and 8 MP on main camera, and 2,1 MP on secondary camera.

  16. Type this command : fastboot flash recovery TWRP_Recovery.img  then press enter on your keyboard.
  17. Disconnect phone and using volume keys select recovery option and reboot to recovery 
  18. Using the volume keys, go to the file that you copied to your SD card and select it using the Power button. Confirm installation on next screen.
  19. When the installation is complete, go to main recovery menu and reboot phone by selecting "reboot system now".

  20. After your HTC One (E8) reboots, you should see the SuperSU app in your apps list, confirming that you now have root access on your device.
  21. To check and ensure that you have done root process, you can download root checker at google play store
